About the job
The Versapak Group is a multi-national group of manufacturing companies with the potential for growth in several key areas.
Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for a wide range of marketing activities for the six companies in the Versapak Group. This is a very varied role and will require a person with good marketing experience who is self-motivated and well organised.
Examples of the responsibilities involved are:
- Creation and management of marketing materials such as flyers, e-newsletters and banner ads from conception through to delivery and distribution.
- Sourcing new prospect data and managing its use.
- Working with the Group Marketing Manager to establish an efficient reporting mechanism for all marketing activities.
- Assisting in all online marketing activities, including using content management systems to create products on our websites, writing website copy and reporting.
- Using and monitoring the Group's photo library, supplying images to customers in the required format, sourcing new images and using Adobe software to make alterations to images as required.
- Researching new product ideas and marketing channels.
- Competitor analysis in terms of products, prices and distribution channels.
- Working with sales teams to ensure customer feedback is obtained and put to good use.
The role will be based at our Head Office in Erith, Kent.
About you
We are looking to recruit a dynamic "can-do" person with a proven track record in marketing. You will have an efficient work ethic and the ability and willingness to take on new challenges.
The key skills required are:
- Clear concise writing skills for online and offline media.
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent computer skills including the usual Microsoft office programmes.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop etc) and HTML, along with a flair for design.
- An ability to learn new technology is essential.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An ability to get on with people and work with others to ensure the Group's objectives are achieved.
- Excellent attention to detail.
About The Versapak Group
The Group's Head office is in Erith in Kent, which is just outside of London with good transport links.
The Versapak Group has been in existence for 35 years, with around 50 employees based in Erith.
The activities at the UK are:
Overseas, we have a very successful German company Versapak Europe GmbH (www.versapak.de) which is 100% owned and is located in Haan near Dusseldorf. The Haan team take care of sales, marketing, and distribution to Germany and many parts of Europe.
We have a Romanian company Versapak Romania (www.versapak.ro) which is also 100% owned and is based near Cluj. This is the group's main manufacturing base.
